Swedish Happiness

  

If you are in Chicago and have kids, a visit to the Brunk Children's Museum of Immigration at the Swedish American Museum is a must.  On a recent rainy day (which could've been any day last month), we ventured out for an afternoon of all things Swedish.  The museum focuses on immigrating from your Swedish Stuga, where you can do work on the farm (milk cows, load firewood, etc.), and then getting your passport ready to load onto the boat.  Once in America, you make your way to your Uncle's log cabin in Minnesota where you go fishing in streams, ride horses and tend to the garden.  The whole thing is very educational and so darn cute with all the Swedish designed wooden toys.

Coincidently, later that evening, I came home to see that H&M is now carrying a limited selection of the Swedish line Hasbeens.  From stugas to shoes....we are loving all things Swedish.
