Leave it to a vintage market and a small town to inspire a summer blog post. On the edge of the quaint town of Three Oaks, Mi (population: 1,622) lies the monthly Blackbird Crossing Vintage Market full of old goodies ready for new homes. But it's the experience of the summer air combined with the corn field view that really draws me into a different world. Add in a fashion truck and an ice cream shop and what more could I possibly want from a Saturday morning. I know what you are thinking: coffee. But I had already had my fill, of course.
At some point, my sweet two year old and I started calling each other besties. She has other besties too, like her wa-wa's (aka grandmas), her favorite sitters, sometimes her brother, and other "friends" that live in her crib. One day she received a pair of pink leopard print rain boots and that night she insisted on sleeping with her new goodies....they were brand new, of course, and hadn't been worn. She snuggled those boots like a worn out loved teddy bear. This blog is to keep track of all my besties and pink leopard print wellies. xo
