I can't buy a year of 7th grade back but I can remember 7th grade via an oldie but goodie film. Can't Buy Me Love was one of my favorite films in jr high. And Cindy Mancini? My idol. Caught this film on tv Sunday morning. It took a little of will power to tear myself away from it. And it lead to me spending an obscene amount of time googling Where is Amanda Peterson now? Whatever happened to Amanda Peterson? Amanda Peterson, Actress. IMDB and Wiki didn't give me satsfying answers...but this site was pretty addicting. Apparently, she has been out of the lime light since 1995. No photos, nothing.In addition to hearing "He went from totally geek to totally chic" live, I loved seeing all the old product packaging (coke cans, the old dorito bag with the clear panel). And let's not forget the old rabbit convertible. Oh Cindy, how I worshiped you!

Torrie, trust me, I looked everywhere for her. After reading that blog posting about her (that I linked on my post) I felt challenged to do an all out google stalker search. Even searched her brother and sister on FB (yes, I'm a NUT) thinking I would at least find some photos. Nothin!

Apparently Amanda Peterson went back to her home town of Greeley, Colorado, and she has been addicted to Meth for a long time. I am not kidding. This is the total truth. There is a native-american woman who occasionally watches her child, and actually bailed her out of jail, who has been posting pics of Amanda and her child from when they were all in a bar together.
This is not a joke. I am a big fan of this movie, and like you guys I was wondering what happened to her. I had the biggest crush on her back then. Anyway, I saved the pics of Amanda to my computer. They are definitely her, and her situation is very sad. She totally messed up her life and her acting career. She had some morons around her who let her fade away into obscurity.
She's divorced, living in the Greely Colorado area. Has 2 kis, only custody of one.

No, she hasnt passed away, died or become a drug addict...she is still at Colorado State University studying and writing her autobiography...its coming out this summer...
