Mug hug

We take our coffee drinking seriously in the morning and I don't know about you, but what I drink my coffee in is almost as important as the coffee itself.  Even on the rare occasions that my husband brings me a cup of coffee and it's not in the preferred mug, I will secretly do a quick mug switch, hoping he doesn't know notice.  The type of mug I prefer?  Usually, one with curved walls, not straight edges.  It's more comfortable in the hand and perfect for the two handed mug hug.  You know, like this:

But we are giving ourselves an early Christmas present this year and searching for the perfect mugs and travel mugs.  I am thinking a sunny yellow may be nice.  And since we are in the spirit of the holidays, I'm going to start featuring a charitable purchase each day through December....the fishseddy mug is perfect and a percentage goes to the ny food bank.  If you haven't been in FishsEddy in ny or on their site, head on over.  It's one of my favorite stores!

Where does your coffee land in the morning?

My coffee lands in beautiful, plain white Villeroy and Boch mugs that I purchased at a flea market, 10 bucks for 4 of them. They are from Luxembourg and God forbid if all four are in the dishwasher at the same time. I will painfully grab a generic mug from the cabinet. Have a great day Bestie. Dawn Suitcase Vignettes xo

My coffee goes into green stoneware mugs. The handle is just perfect to curl my hand through. Unless I'm at my moms and then only the cheap mug with "Big Hug Mug" written on the side will do. I have no idea why. :)

Hmmmm, I never thought about it like that but its so true! I like a rounded mug - and it HAS to be big!

I need to find a portable cup I love because I only buy one latte a day from the coffee shop down the road, but still...For tea I like the tacky Kate and Wills commemorative tea cups with a crooked pinky.

Unfortunately, in to-go cups. I have to get a travel mug!

amazing post, love. I actually don't drink coffee. It's just water with crystal light for me. I hope you had a fabulous weekend. If you get a sec, I'd love to hear what you think of my Holiday party post. xo
