I attended a spa event last night benefitting a charity called Noah's Hope. Noah's Hope supports research for rare childhood diseases, including Batten disease, a terminal disease that strikes young. The family behind this have three children and two of them are currently battling this insanely terrible disease. The mother attended the event. I cannot wrap my head around what this family is going through and where these parents find the strength to get through every day. My thoughts and prayers are with them. Another reminder to count our blessings.
